How to find us

Lake Farm lies about ¾ mile outside the village of Northlew. Putting in our postcode and following your sat nav may take you on a circuitous route from Okehampton to Northlew (via Ashbury Golf Club) which is not the best way and will certainly take you to the group of houses across the road from us rather than to Lake Farm. Detailed instructions of how to find us from M5/Okehampton can be found below. Once in Northlew, please follow the road to Kimber and we are ¾ mile up that lane on the right-hand side. The entrance to Lake Farm has a grass triangle which has posts with reflectors and chains around it, with the gate set back about 10 yards.

There is a sign in the bank (as shown) and also on the post box on the opposite side of the entrance. The gate will be closed, please ensure that you close it after coming through. You enter Lake Farm down the drive and you will see the West Barn on your right. If you are arriving in the dark, please look out for our resident hedgehogs on the drive as they will roll into a ball rather than run and we don’t want any accidents! Please park your car facing the West Barn where signed. Please do not go through the second gate even if it is open. We will meet you at your car to show you to your private entrance to the accommodation and explain all the amenities, whilst maintaining the appropriate social distancing.

From the M5/Okehampton

M5 past Exeter to A30/A38 junction and then take the A30 to Okehampton and Launceston (left-hand lanes as the M5 divides into the A30 and A38). Follow the A30 towards Okehampton and Launceston. Take first Okehampton exit after approx 20 miles along A30, where there is a BP garage (Belstone) on the exit. Turn right and go into Okehampton, downhill to the town centre through two sets of lights, keeping in left lane at second set in the town centre and then uphill out of town. After one mile, turn right signed 'Bude and Northlew'. After 3/4 mile turn right signed Northlew, after a short distance you will be at a crossroads. Cross the A386 and continue five miles (quite narrow) to Northlew, very sharp left hand turn downhill. Over the bridge at the bottom and up a steep hill into the village square. The pub, Green Dragon, will be on you far right. Pass the Post Office and community shop on left.

After 150 yds turn right signed 'Kimber'. We are 3/4 mile on the right – downhill, over the bridge up a narrow hill.
